Better Stalemate management, currently if the two players stalemate the game does not reset the board and declare no one a winner.it does have some quirks i feel like I could have addressed a little bit better with more time but such is life.

I have no doubt that there is a more efficient way to check for a win but given the time restrictions and me having not even thought to build a game of Tic Tac Toe in a decade this seemed like a viable solution for a tiny project like this.Ĭonsidering 3 hours to make any kind of functional game is a really tight window I am pretty pleased with my final product even if it didn't get me the role i was applying for. Initial State of the Project : The project actually had next to nothing in the way of elements to build the game with, they had a basic Tic-Tac-Toe board layout which i used in the final game board, and an X and O prefab which I ignored using as I had a more general simple Buttton and text label solution for. Objective: This technical assessment asked me to create a playable game of Tic Tac Toe that would restart when one of the players won, one of the added asks to have the game be possible to quit and be resumed mid-session which i knew how to accomplish but unfortunately couldn't get to in the 3 hour total time span. I recently had the opportunity to interview with a very promising mobile game studio for a technical game designer role, unfortunately I didn't get the job but I always feel bad spending hours on technical assessments and not getting the opportunity to share and discuss what I wrote and why so I figured this would be a great opportunity to share my approach to rapidly building a game of Tic-Tac-Toe !
